Even as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has asked the Doha-based news channel, Al Jazeera, to release 'all the details' it has on the match-fixing controversy, the broadcasting company is not considering a meeting with the ICC anytime soon.

A spokesman for Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit confirmed to Sportstar that with regard to a potential meeting with the ICC, the broadcaster had to "take into account ongoing legal considerations, including potential criminal investigations into the match-fixing allegations in Sri Lanka and India. That being the case, a meeting with the ICC would be premature at this stage."
On Friday, ICC CEO, Dave Richardson, issued a statement asking the news channel to cooperate with the investigation by releasing the evidences it had on the fixing allegations.
However, the spokesperson said: "It should also be borne in mind that in certain respects the broadcast puts the ICC itself under the spotlight, although we are confident that this will not ultimately be a bar to cooperation in due course."
The channel, it is learnt, has hours of footage and believes that the evidences are foolproof.
